Eulwangni Beach is only about 20 minutes from Incheon Airport, so it's a great spot for transit travelers or those with a long layover. It's convenient and relaxing without requiring a full-day commitment.

Eulwangni Beach

 

Eulwangni Beach is located in Eulwang-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon. It’s also known as Neulmok or Eolhang and was designated a national tourist site in 1986.

The sandy beach stretches about 700 meters and has an average depth of 1.5 meters, making it one of the safer beaches in Korea. Surrounded by unique rock formations, it offers stunning natural scenery.

The beach has a significant tidal range. At low tide, the beach can stretch up to 200 meters wide, revealing expansive mudflats.

 

 

Previously Difficult to Access

 

In the past, visitors had to take a boat from Incheon Passenger Terminal to Yeongjong Island to reach the beach. However, since the opening of the Yeongjong Bridge in 2000, access has become much easier.

Thanks to this, Eulwangni has become a popular summer vacation spot. Just a 10-minute walk away is a dirt trail leading to Wangsan Beach, which is more than twice the size of Eulwangni. Nearby attractions include General Rock, Yongyu Rock Formations, and Jocheondae Pavilion. You can also rent a boat to explore uninhabited islands.

 

 

A Place with Different Vibes by Day and Night

 

During the day, you can relax while watching gentle waves and sunsets. At night, the area transforms into a hot spot for young people, with cafes and bars filled with energy.

Thanks to improved transportation, it’s now possible to enjoy the area late into the evening even without a car. Just make sure to check the last bus schedule so you don't get stranded!

If you prefer a quiet place to watch the sunset, there are other cafes located on higher floors nearby that offer great views.

How to Get There

 

It’s really easy.

From Incheon Airport Terminal 1 (3rd floor, platform 13), take Bus 111 or 306. Bus 111 is faster, while Bus 306 takes a more scenic route.

When returning, go to the bus stop on the opposite side of where you arrived. It’s simple and accessible.
