A Local’s Pick in Incheon Chinatown & Open Port Area – Gaehangmyeon Noodle Restaurant

Today’s Featured Restaurant – Gaehangmyeon
The restaurant I’m introducing today is called Gaehangmyeon. I actually visited it for the first time on the same day I’m writing this post! I happened to stop by while filming a video about Incheon’s Chinatown and the nearby Open Port Area — and I was starving.
Maybe it was because I had no expectations,
but I was immediately impressed by the flavors!
Of course, taste is subjective, so take this as a personal recommendation — but one worth trying!
Menu – Handmade Noodles Are the Star!
Here are the main dishes featured at Gaehangmyeon:
- Onsu-myeon (Warm Broth Noodles)(온수면)
Rich broth simmered for 12 hours with beef bones, paired with fresh handmade noodles developed in collaboration with Gwangshin Noodles — this is the restaurant’s signature item. - Bibim-myeon (Spicy Mixed Noodles)(비빔면)
A special gochujang and doenjang-based sauce is mixed with beef, egg yolk, and assorted vegetables. Served over handmade noodles. Gaehangmyeon’s flagship spicy dish. - Spicy Onsu-myeon(매운 온수면)
A fiery twist on the original Onsu-myeon — featuring spicy homemade chili oil and minced meat for that extra kick. - Yukjeon Deopbap (Beef Pancake Rice Bowl)(육전 덮밥)
Three to four slices of tender beef pancake made from flat iron steak, served over rice with sautéed sliced onions in a soy-based sauce. - Buchu Mandu (Garlic Chive Dumplings)(부추 만두)
Juicy handmade dumplings made in-house. A great side dish to pair with the noodles. - Chamnamul Bossam (Boiled Pork with Korean Herbs)(참나물 수육)
Top-quality Korean pork boiled fresh daily and served with chamnamul (Korean wild greens) and yuzu dressing — an unexpectedly delightful combination. - Gaehang-ro Lager Beer(개항로 라거)
A craft beer brewed especially to pair with Gaehangmyeon’s dishes. Perfect combo!
